EXTRAORDINARY TELEGRAM.
Dunedin Punch received the following telegram from its Wellington correspondent :— REYNOLDS MINISTRY FORMED. Wellington, Friday, 28th Sept., * 5 59^ p.m. Reynolds has knocked the Weld Ministry out of time. Fitzgerald wanted to impeach Reynolds for getting the Maori Reserve, so Stafford said he would peach about Opotiki if he did. Haughton has carried the Separation question, after standing a champagne lunch, by a startling majority of 1, including himself. The Otago members have secured all the best offices, and will fix their own salaries. Dunedin is to be the seat of Government. The Exhibition Building is to be made the iiaal for the comfort of the poor prisoners. The neighbouring Botanical Gardens is to be converted into their play-ground. The Universal Bond will be the Parliament House, but all spirits are to be removed. The New ministry are as under, some Ministers having several offices and some offices several Ministers. Premier, Colonial Secretary, and Commissioner of Customs (with Reserve income for salary), Mr. W. H. Reynolds. Colonial Treasurers (limited liability),. Messrs. Reynolds and Vogel. Attorney-General, and Inspector-Genera of Volunteers (without official costume), Mr' Brodie. Trio for Native Affairs (offices at Waikouaitij. Spit), Messrs. Reynolds, Vogel and Haughton. Colonial Defences (with orders to quit instantly), Mr. St. J. Branigan. Postmaster-General (with Brevet rank, but to wear mufti); Major Gargill. Commissioners of Goldfields (with leave to wear Militia uniforms), Messrs. Reynolds, Vogel and Burns. Major Yon Tenipsky has shot Major General Chute in a duel, and Lieut.-Colonel Eraset is made Commander of the Forceß. The Hau Haus have offered half-a-crown for Mr. Weld's head. Sir George Grey has offered Kawau to the Roman Catholic Bishop for a Nunnery.
