RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
This Day. (Before C. D. R. Ward, Ksq., R.M.) Henry Woods, Lawrence Burns, and Jas. Maxton, were charged with being drunk, and fined 10s each. Mary Ann Egan was charged with boiug drunk and disorderly, and sent to gaol for 14 days. John Spry, on the charge of stealing from a dwelling, was remanded till to-morrow. John Kofee, a marine on board the Brisk, was charued with, assaulting a Maori woman on tl c Beach on Saturday last. The prisoner was under the influence of diink at the time. Fined £3, or in default to be committed for three weeks with hard labour. William Shearer v. Daniel Labowitzki ; clidni £'l —Judgment for amount by consent, wiih costs. Susan Smith v. William Bannister ; claim £4 Us lOd— Judgment tor amount and costs. liobert Archibald v. John Ruck, claim £20 —Judgment for amount with costs. Ralph Le Voi v. We Harris ; c'aim 3s Paid into court.
