CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

The annual general meeting of the Chamber of Commerce was to have been held yesterday, but after waiting three quarters of an-hour after the time fixed for the meeting, there being only seven members present, they resolved themselves into a committee to consider the annual report. The gentlemen present were Messrs. Pharazyn, (chairman,) Pearce, (deputychairman,) Bethune, Bannatyne, Krull, Stuart, and Hunter. After having considered the several clauses of the reporf, the chairman was about to declare the meeting a general meeting, when it was discovered that there was an irregularity in the way in which the meeting had been called. According to the rules of the Chamber it should have been called by advertisement, and after some discussion, it was resolved to convene the annual general meeting, by advertisement in the newspapers for next Tuesday at two o'clock in the afternoon. The meeting then closed.
