The s.s. William Miskin, from Hokitika, arrived on Saturdaj*-, with 5,500 ounces of gold. She left the Hokitika on Thursday, reports the total wreck of the steamer Titania at the mouth of the HokitikaThis is the sixth steamer -which has gone ashore at this river within the past six months, and the fourth which has become a total wreck. The Wakool, the Ruby, and the Waipara, preceded the Titania, and all went to pieces ; the Nelson now in our harbour, and the Bruce were more fortunate, and got off the band after much labour and expense. The schooner Tiger has also been stranded at the Hokitika. The reports from the various diggings in the neighbourhood of Hokitika speak of a continued success in the Kanieri, the Woodstock, &c, although many are leaving for the Grey.
