QUEENSLAND. Brisbane, June 24.

The Treasurer made his financial statement on Friday, A deficit of £84,034 was anticipateed at the close of the year, which it was proposed to supply by an alteration in the tariff, increasing the duty on all spirits, excepting brandy and gin, three shillings per gallon, beer in wood twopence per gallon, and in glass four pence per gallon. It is expected to realise by the new duties £67,000 in reduction of the deficit by the end of 1866.
