Military Settleks— The last batch of the above corps, which have for a considerable lenth of time been stationed at Puketapu, took their departure for Waitangi on Thursday morning the 22nd ult. Wairoa.— A correspondent sends us the following :— Tareha's nephew Wiremu has sold a valuable block of land atTe Wairoa,and he is now waiting the return of Mr. Locke when the amount agreed on will be paid over to him, much to the satisfaction of certain store keepers and a publican or two, who will quickly relieve him of his burthen, and take it upon themselves, they are so very kind! This Hau Hau Flags. — One of Kariatin a's natives, Henare, has obtained the loan of the Hau Hau flags to exhibit to the curious at Pakowhai. Tareha is fearfully enraged at this because he has a decided leaning towards the lluu Hau himself ; at any rate, he says, Mr. M'Lean might have let him hare bad the first use of them. — Times.
