KAWHIA.
The cutter Boneta left Onehunga for Kawhia shortly after the Excelsior. That was about a month ago, and she has not since been heard of. Our readers will remember the threat the natives of Kawhia made, that they would seize any vessel that came there after the Excelsior, and it is not improbable that the Boneta has fallen into their hands. If she does not return soon, it will certainly bo incumbent on the Government, under the circumstances mentioned, to inquire into the cause of her absence. — Southern Cross.
