Daring Robbery . -Another of those dar-

ing robberies which are becoming disagreably common in Christchurch, took place on Thursday in the Whately road. The shop of Messrs. Rossiter and Bean was entered in the absence of the shopman, and the cash box, containing about sixty pounds, taken from a small count-ing-house in one corner. The robbery was committed in the middle of the day, and it seems strange that after so many warnings that have been given lately, tradesmen will persist in leaving such large sums money in such exposed places.— .Canterbury Press.
