THE TOWN BOARD.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE! KVJENING POST, Sib— Observing in the published report of the last meeting of the Town Board some disparaging and unjust remarks, affecting my reputation as a surveyor, relative to the boundary line laid out by me, of the piece of land on the Town Belt, rented by Mr Catswell, allow me, through your columns, to make a proposal to the Town Board which will extricate them from their difficulty. My offer is, that if two competent Surveyors Are appointed to examine the disputed boundary, and if they shall decide that the new line laid out by the Town Surveyor is more correct, in accordance with the official documents in the Land Office, than mine, Z will pay the expenses, and also pay Mr. Carswell the cost of removing his fence.— l am,&c. J. Hughes.
