June 2nd, 9th, 16th. 22nd, 29th May 6th, 13th, 20th, 26th N.B.— From 20th to 2Gth it is likely to be a very unsettled period July 7th, 13th, 20th, 27th August 3rd, 9th, L7th, 23rd, 30th September Glh, 12th, 19th, 27th October 3rd, 9fcb. 16th, 24th, 31st November 6th, 13th, 20th, 27thi December 3rd, 10th, 18tb, 24th, 31st. N.B.— lf the day marked provd calm and still distrust the day after, and especiallyithe second day after. The changes vary in intensity, but even at quiet periods they may be plainly traced in the scud flying with a velocity totally at variance with the state of the air at the earth's surface, and the clouds at such times generally have a liny or stratified appearance, which ixiually indicates approaching rain.
