NELSON and MARLBORO UGH COAST STEAM NAVIGATION COMPANY.

A special general meeting of the shareholders of this Company was held on Monday night last, pursuant to adjournment. The meeting was very numerously attended, Mr. J. Beit presiding. The following resolution was proposed by Captain Walker, and seconded by Mr. Thornton :—": — " That this meeting confirms the resolution of the former meeting, of which this is the result, and authorise the Directors to take all legal and necessary steps to wind-up the Company." Mr. Sharp moved, as an amendment — " That the consideration of the advisability of winding-up the Company be deferred to this day three months." The amendment having been put from the chair, it was negatived, and the original resolution carried by a large majority. The number of shares held by those in favour of the motion for winding-up the Company way 291 ; against it, 50,— Nelson Examiner.
