A sum has been placed on the Queensland Estimates in aid of the movement for promoting a search for Leichardt. A large meeting of the promoters of the new Bank of Adelaide was held on June 2, when it was decided that the capital of the bank,, to commence with, should be £250,000, in 50,000 shares of .£5 each, with liberty to increase the capital to £1, 000,000. None of the shares will be reserved for the directors. All will be offered to the public. The Mount Alexander Mail says: — " We were yesterday shown a veiy fine sample of coarse gold, weighing 670z 12dwt 12gr, obtained by the puddliug machinists in Spring Gully."
