Our Secunderabad correspondent, writing on the 7th, informs us of the attempted suicide of Lieutenant H. Adams, 18th Royal Irish Regiment. The unfortunate gentleman cut his throat with a razor, and, although the wound is dangerous, hopes ore entertained of recovery ; he has been on the sick list for some time, and it is thought that his lengthened illness preyed upon his mind, urnl led him to maks an attempt upon his life Lieutenant Adams has been in the army since 1855, and has served a considerabl portion of the time in India, is one of the senior lieutenants in the 18th Regiment, and being very popular, the event has caused a melancholy feeling to pervade both the legimenfc and the station. —Times of India.
