May 6th, 13th, 20th, 26th N. 6.— From 20th to 26th it is likely to be a very unsettled period June 2nd, 9fch, 16th, 22nd, 29th July 7th, 13th, 20th, 27th August 3rd, 9th, I7th,'23rd, 30th September 6th, 12th, 19fch, 27th October 3rd, 9th. 16th, 24th, 31st November 6fch, 13th, 20th, 27th December 3rd, 10th, 18tb, 24th, 31sfc. N.B.— lf the day marked prove calm and still distrust the day after, and especially the secon day after. The changes vary in intensity, but even at quiet periods they may be plainly tr.iceil in the scud flying with a velocity totally at variance with the state of the air at the earth's surface, and the clouds at such times generally have_ a liny or stratified appearance, which usually indicates approaching rain.
