CAPTURE OF KEREOPA, THE PRINCIPAL OF THE MURDERERS OF MR. VOLKNER.
Information was received yesterday in town through Mr. Kennedy, the master of tho Tawera, that the murderer Te Kereopa had been taken prisoner by the Opotiki natives. It appears that his captors are the tnt'n of Ngatipatu, of the tribe VVhakatohoe, and we understand that Tiwai, the native who rendered so much assistance in rescuing Mr. Grace, wrote down to them yesterday by the Sarah Ann, advising them to hand him over to the Government for trial. — Ibid
