The man thus struck, and whose name was Emanuel Jacob*, and whose age was twenty-four years, expired before medical aid could be obtained, and the murderer was immediately surrounded und taken into custody. At the coroner's inquest he'd upon the body of his victim, the next day, a verdict of wilful murder, was returned against the prisoner, who goes by the name of Joseph Brown, and he is now awaiting his trial upon the charge.
