pledge myself to vote independently and to the best of my judgment on all measures brought forward that in my opinion would be most beneficial to the advancement and welfare of the province and this city. I am, Gentlemen, Your very obedient servant, GEORGE CRAWFORD. TO THE ELECTORS OF lIIE CITY OF WELLINGTON. GENTtrME.V, I A M candidate fnr a spat in the Provincial Council, and refer you to what 1 endeavoured to do in the last Council, as a guarantee of what I intend to do if elected in the next. Should you so far approve of the past as to return me again, I will exert myself faithfully to discharge my duties as your representative. I am, Gentlemen, Your obedient servant, J. DRANSFIELD. Wellinsrtnn, April 14.

TO THE EL-ECTOHS OF THE CITY OF WELLINGTON. Gentlemen, fTIHE announcement having been publicly X made that you will in a few days be called upon to elect your City Mcmbeis for the Provincial Council, I beg again to offer to my brother electors and fellow colonists my services as one of the Representatives for the City. Should you do me the houour of again returning me I shall continue to represent the interests of the City and of the Province generally, and not of any particular class. I need only refer to the Acts and proceedings of the Provincial Council to prove that I have endeavored to carry out necessary reforms, not only in the management of the public lands, but in the privileges which I conceive we are entitled to as citizens. ( )n every occasion I have supported, and shall continue to support, every measure calculated to make our City worthy of the Metropolitan position with which nature has endowed it. I need scarcely say that the sanitary con - dition of our city has occupied my attention far several s ssions, and that the pr< sent imperfect Town Boird Act was introduced as an amendment to a more extended measure, which I yet h^pe to see cartied— conferring upon the City extensive municipal privileges —not n mcie taxing power, which is the principal feature in the present Act. My services as one of your representatives will aiways teat your onmmand. I reman, Gentlemen, Your most obedient servant, J. H. WALLACE. April 13, 1865. VALUABLE FREEHOLD LAtSD FUR* SALE.
