Best ram bred in colony — Mr. G. Hunter Class 3— Some fine Cotswold ewes and rams Class 4 contained some beautiful Southdowns. Pigs were well represented by five or six pens of different breeds ; and poultry by the dorking and Spanish breeds. On the whole the exhibition could not be considered a success. There is a feeling that the yards of Messrs. Bethune and Hunter are not well adapted for the purpose ; as far as we could judge by yesterday's show, there was plenty of empty pens and space to spare. No doubt the next year's show •will be held in the Market Hall, which certainly would be an improvement.
