WE, the undersigned, Electors of Wellington, request that you will allow yourself to be put in nomination as a Candidate for the Superintendency, at the ensuing election. In addressing this requisition to you, we are actuated by the sentiment that no other man but yourself cmld be tound in the Province, whosv sterling worth, irreproachable honesty, spotless cbarabter, and consistent political career, so eminently point him out tia the choice of the people for such an important trust. The sentiments expressed by you at a late Lyceum meeting, the spontaneous and decided assurance that you then gave, of inaugurating a sweeping and thorough reform in the body politic, have convinced us of this ; and we therefore ask you frankly to come forward. -Neither in Dr. Featherston, nor in Mr. Borlase, have we a candidate such as the present emergency demands.
