IN pursuance of the provisions of an A ot of the General Assembly of New Zealand, inf'hi'ed " The Provincial Election Act, 1858," I Charles Dudley Robert Ward, Esq., princital Returning Offluer for the Province of Wellington, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a writ bearing date the 16th day of February, 1865, issued under thp hand of his Excellency the Governor «>f New Zealand, an election will be held for the return i.f a qualified person to serve as Superintendent for the Province of Wellington, and that the nomination of Candidates will take plnce at the Resident .Magistrate's Court, at Wellington, on Saturday, the eighteenth day of March, 1865, at noon ; and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Friday, the 24th duv of March. 1865. .
