Denis Ryan brought up William Cuthbert for being drunk find v ing obscene language in the public street. The case was iully enquired into and proved. The Resident Magistrate, after reprimanding the prisoner^ committed him for seven days with hard labor. Willixm Bryant charged Donald M'Kenzie with assaulting him» It was stated that there was much provocation, but not being proved, the defendant was fined 10s, in default of payment to be committed with hard labor for three days,
