SAUCE. LEA AND PERRINS' WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE, . Pronounced by connoisseurs to be the only good sauce, and applicable to every variety of dish. Extract of a letter from a medical gentleman at Madras to his brother at Worcester, May, 1851 :— " Tell Lea and Perrin that their sauce is highly esteemed in India, and is, in my opinion, the most palatable as well as the most wholesome sauce that is nmde. Cadtion.— Lea and Perrins beg to caution the public against spurious imitations of their celebrated Worcestershire Sauce: *' L. and P. discovered that several of the Foreign' markets have been supplied with spurious imitations, the labels closely resembling those of the genuine sauce, and in one or more instances the name of L. and P. forged."
