PERSONAL.
Mrs Robinson, Christehurch, is the guest of Mrs J. Stringer. Mr J. Hintz, Wellington, is spending his holidays at Southbridge. Mr and Mrs J. Moorhead, of "Willisden," lately spent a holiday at Hanmer. Mrs McMillan, Bishop St., St. Albans, has been visiting relatives at Little Rakaia. Miss L. Buchanan, travelling secretary of the Presbyterian Bible Society, was the guest of Mrs Hannah, The Manse, for the week-end. Mr Mac Donald, of the staff of Rowan's Store, has returned to business after a severe bout of influenza which laid him aside for three weeks. Mr J. S. Chapman, Soutnbridge, and his son, Mr Harold Chapman, Akaroa, have returned from a visit to j Marlborough, Nelson and the West Coast. Mrs A. Lowe and her two daughters, who have been visiting relatives in" Canterbury since the earthquake disaster, have now returned to Napier. Mrs Lowe was a former resident of Southbridge.
