LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

PRICE OF BREAD.

Sir, —The report of the Department of Industries and Commerce, as published in this morning's Press, is most illuminating and bears out the contention of your correspondents that, there should be an adjustment in the _ price of bread for cash over the coun- *f^ ter. The report states that "the householder who has bread delivered to his house should bear the full cost of this , service and an adjustment of this position could well result in a reduced price over the counter. This would eliminate a percentage of the unecon--1 omic and unprofitable delivery." Further comment is unnecessary.—Yours, etc. HARD CASH.
