COPIED TREASURY NOTES A remarkable Court story was told in Glasgow- on December 29, when a 13----year-old boy admitted a charge of having in his father's house, made two false 10/- notes, which he sold to two boys for a penny each. A police superintendent stated that the lad's parents were Lithuanians, and at school the accused was not regarded as a particularly bright scholar. ~ Apparently, however, he had a remarkable gift for draughtsmanship, and he could draw replicas of notes from memory with great accuracy. The officer produced the two notes in question, and added .that the boy had not attempted to pass them into currency. After pointing out jthe seriousnessv of the offence, the Magistrate put the accused on ■ probation- for twelve months. . Ladies' wool vests, 4/6 to $ftl; fleecy bloomers, 1/6 to Vll.^JTextthi Bank. 3
