HONOURED BY CLERGY AND

LAITY.

THE COMMUNITY'S CONGRATULATIONS

A quarter of a century's labours in the priesthood have just been completed by the Reverend Father T. Creed, priest of the Leeston Catholic parish. Celebrations befitting so memorable an occasion were held on Wednesday, when the cordial felicitations of his Bishop and brother priests, and of the whole community around Leeston, were bestowed upon the venerated jubilar-' ian. The spontaneous way in which i his parishioners rejoiced with him in his silver jubilee was remarkable evidence of the widespread regard held for the worthy priest whose pleasing personality and ineffaceable Irish smile radiate optimism about him, and win him a welcome wherever he moves. i THE JUBILEE MASS. i The celebrations were opened on Wednesday morning, when Father Creed celebrated" his Jubilee Mass, which was-attended by a good congregation.- The altar decorations, were special for the occasion. The music of the "Mass of""the Angels" was sung by a choir composed of pupils from the Convent School, led by the Sisters.
