BOWLING.
Members of the Bowling Club who did not make the trip to Timaru on Saturday were engaged ;in a singles competition to find the winner of president's (Mr E. G. Wright)__ Cup. The winner /of this competitioin will also be j ttie Dunsandel Club's representative for the/Boag Cup. All the : players engaged had one loss. The leader so far is Johk Walker, with three wins and one loss, but he has played one more game than' the others"; The other members engaged in play were: F. 1411 2 wins 1 loss; James Walker 2 wins 1 loss■■;> W- McMillan 2 wins 1 loss; H. A. Brown 2 wins 1 loss; G. W. Kime 1 win 1 loss; E. j. Chatterton 3 losses; N. J. Brown 1 loss. The competition has a long way to go yet, there being 16 entrants, and each player is to play each other player.
It has been decided to hold a tournament at Easter, consisting of doubles and r-^nks, to be played on Easter Saturday and Monday. Good Friday is to be reserved for continuance of the singles competition.
