SPORTS ASSOCIATION
At a committee meeting-of the' Dunsandel Splits Association held to receive the balance sheet in connexion with the sports held 011 Ne\v Year's Day, Mr H. A. Brown presided over a small attendance. The balance sheet, showing a ©redit balance of £17 odd was tread, and considered-- satisfactory. It was decided to donate the sum of £8 8s to the Ellesmere Pipe Band . for their services at the sports. An honorarium was also granted to the secretary and treasurer for .their work-in connexion with the sports. It was decided that the. secretary get in touch with the various sports clubs and arrange :>. meeting of delegates from each club to be held at the most convenient date to discuss matters -in " connexion with sports gatherings^ in the district and, if possible, form a union to control sports in { the Ellesmere district. Several re-' commendations were decided on, to be read at the next annual meeting. Votes of thanks were accorded to all who had in . any way whatever assisted to make the sports the success they were. '
