Bazaar Dance

LEESTON FUNCTION. A successful and very enjoyable dance was held in the . Leeston Town Hall on Wednesday night by the Bowling, Tennis and Croquet Club, and was promoted for the purpose of providing the stall holders with funds for the furnishing of their stalls. Considering that many people are still busy with threshing and other harvest work, the attendance was very good. The dancers were greatly pleased with the music supplied by Mr J. R. Mcßryde. Extras were played by Mr Tetau, a very musical young visitor, who also contributed songs.' Mr W. Taiaroa also sang. Mr G. M. Lochhead, as M.C., kept the dancing going briskly throughout the night. The supper provided by the ladies was enjoyed by all present. It is likely that other dances will be held'' before the date of the bazaar.
