A meeting of ihe Committee of the above Association was held m the Lees ton Hotel yesterday afternoon. There was a good attendance ; m the absence of the President, Mr R, B. Willis, Mr Barnett was voted to the chair. BOOKKEEPING FOR FARMERS. A letter ms received {torn Mr T, B. Howson, offering a prize of £10 for the best set of sample books suited to agricultural pursuits. He set out m 'detail the various items he should like to see particularised, and suggested that thn set should be made out for the twelve months ending Ist October, 1892. Tue successful set to become Ivs property with a Tievr to publication, and an endeavour on his part to get them intro daced into the syllabus of the Primary Schools. Mr Overton and Mr Jameson thought that it would be better to offer the prize to the schools. They did not think farmers would ftvnil themselves of the opportunity of competing. Ultimately, on motion of Mr Rennie, seconded by Mr Henley, it was decided to accept Mr Howson's offrr, and a sub committee was appointed to aonfer with him on sundry details, THE BOOTHS. Mr Blackler complained thab he ha • tendered for the publican's booth under a misconception as to the hours. He thought he would be Allowed to keep open until six o'clock. Under the ciicumstances, a refund of one pound was made. ROUGH BALANCE SHEET. The 3ecretary submitted a rough balance sheet, showing the <?gtimate<J receipts as £417. The estimated expenditure was £401. PRIZE LIST. The Committee then proceeded to p«BS the prize list, sundry accounts m connection with the late show, ah I transact other formal business.
