School Committees.
SOUTHBRIDGE. The ordinary monthly meeting of the abore committee was held on Tuesday evening there being PRESENT Messrs Frame, (chairman,)Bnrns. Willis KilbrHe, Penfold, and the Bey E, Whitehouse. The osoal routine business having ■ been. transacted, the OHAIRMANS REPORT was presented. It was very short, 1 merely stating that" t ho teachers' salaries had been paid ; also that the sub committee appointed to watch the building operations had made a suggestion to the Board which had not been approved of. THE MASTER'S REPORT showed a total roll number of 323, and an average attendance of 245. He asked for some repairs to be done to the school building and master's house; were left to the Chairman aud the visit ing committee to attend to. He also referred to the question of holidays ; this also was left m the chairman's bands. NEW. BUILDING It was resolved that m event of the contractors agreeing to defer the erection of the addition to the school buildings untill the 7th December, that the chairman write to the Board asking them to agree to such postponement. AOIOUNTS amounting to £± 19s 2d were passed for payment "and the meeting ended.
