To the Editor. Sir, — In your last issue Mr George Hannaford makes a series of charges against me mmy capacity as clerk to the Town Board. I have carefully ex* amined the reports of the last meeting of the Board as reported m the Guardian and elsewhere, and can find there no mention of my having made any such statements as he attributes to me. Until Mr Hannaford can bring some more reliable authority than outside gossip picked up I know not where, I must decline to vindicate myself. I am, sir, yours, etc., C. H.
