School Committees.

_*, SOUTHBRIDGE. The ordinary monthly meeting of the South bridge School-. Committee was held on Friday evening last, there being TRESS NT, Messrs Burns, Kilbride, Penfold, Webster, Willis and Rev. R. Whitehouse. The Cnairman, Mr Framo, being absent through illness, Mr Webster was voted to the chair. ROUTINE, The minutes of the last meeting of the Committee were read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE was read as under : — From the Board of Education advising tliat the school requisites asked! for, hud been ordered. From the Southbridge Football Club requesting leave to play on tne School ground. Tne leave asked for was granted. THE MASTER'S REPORT showed the nnmber on the rolls to be SI 6, and the average attendance 249. The highest attendance for any day during the., month was 282. He asked, to be supplied with certain materials for specimen drawing, m view of the ap-« proacuing examination, and drew attention to some sanitary matters. It was resolved to supply the materials asked lor. GENERAL. ,;•■ v", .. T The secretary was instructed to write to the caretaker; darning his attention to certain matters m connection with the cerrying out of his contract. FINANCIAL. ' . The treasurer reported that he had paid the monthly salaries. His action was endorsed by the Committee. Incidental accounts, amounting to £7 «s 2d, were passed for payment, and the meeting terminated. „ ■ _'
