EXECUTION OF FOUR OF THE PRISONERS. Sydney, January 7. The Four young men whose sentences for ‘Complicity in the outrage on the girl Hicks •were not interfered with were hamred in the Darlinghurst Gaol this morning at 9 o’clock in the presence of 1-50 poisons. Read handed in a' written statement declaring the innocence of himself and those who bad .been reprieved except Donnellan. There was no demonstation either inside or outaide the gaol.. With the exception of Boyce none of the men mode any struggle on the •oaffold. - The four men on whom the death penalty has been carried out are William Boyce, •George Read, Joseph Martin, and George Duffy. Boyce was ifl years of age, was born at Redfern, and was a Hjman Catholic. ► Read was 1 fly ear* of age, a native of Vio- ■ toria, and a Presbyterian. Martin was 17 R years of age, was born at Waterloo, and a M Eomat Catholic. Duffy was 17 years o{ J aue, horn at .Dapto, and a Romm Catholic. * The five who were reprieved, William HID* William Newman, Michael Dohnellan, Hugh Miller, and George Keegan, all natives of New Booth Wales, and with the exception of HiU are all under 29 years of ** e *
