DEATH FROM CAT-BITE.
Mr W. H. Solomon, a resident of Macarthur street, Ballarat, near the old Cemetery, some days ago was playing with a cat, which bit him on the hand while fri-king about. The bite was not considered serious by MrlSoln mon at the time, hut next day the hand and wrist commenced to swell, and the arm became swollen and the sufferer, at the request of his friends, sought advice at the hospital, where Dr Morrison, the resident surgeon, pronounced the case one of biCM-pbisoiiiugAnd snd serious ccnsquencea t^Viuld'pliably en«ue. This has been the case for Mr Solomon expired late at night. His body and legs and arms were swollen to a considerable extent The bite appeared anything but serious to the unfortunate man’s friends, and the injury was considered cue that other pei’sons had frequently sustained with out even inconvenience. Deceased was a strong man, about thirty-six years of age, proprietor of a grocery, and was unmarried.
