J. C. M'LAUOHLAN, Merchant Tailor, BUNDBELA.no STREET, CLYDE (Adjoining Dunsian Times Office). All Classes of Clothes made to Order. Lady’a Mantles, Jackets, and Biding / i Ii) Habits made. / i/ jk Clothetf Cleaned, and Repairs Neatly ' Executed. [A CARD, j JOHN OU MINE, AUTHORISED SURVEYOR, Clyde. A Surrey slmdet taken in any part of the ' District, Diseased Nature ottetmmes breaks forth in strange eruptions.”—Act iii, Scene 1. TO THE PUBLIC.

SOME patients suffering from nervous affections are afraid from sheer bashfulneas and modesty to personally consult a medical man—other patients have not the self possession and coolness when in the consulting room, toaccurately describe their symptoms —their habits of life, and the nature o( the disease they suffer t om, Let such persons (he or she) sit quietly down in the privacy of their own apartments, and with describe clearly of their case, a clear stMerh«iratlnte%written, and laid before me, preferable in nervous diseases to a consultation. Where, however, a disease is of a peculiar and exceptional character, a personal consultation may become necessary ; but my success in correspondence is so great, that of the thousands upon thousands whom I have treated by letter during the' last 33 years, not a single mistake has ever occurred, not a case has over been made public—in fact, the very simplicity of ray system of correspondence prevents publicity. A t the same time medicines are sent to my patients in such a term as to defy detection. How many thousands have I not brought joy to 1 How many have been enabled to enter into the nuuriage state through consulting me 1

How many after marriage have pri vately consulted me and been blessed, and their married lives made fruitful and happy. How many wasted ruined yonths of both sexes have also been restored to health, and thanked their manhood, for having consulted me by letter. How many questions arise where the family physician is unable to unlavel the case, and where' often the patient lingers on, not daring to tell his family medical adviser the nature of his complaint, until consumption wasting, or mental diseases set in, and the suii’erer gets beyond the curable stage, and is left a hopeless Wreck. A. letter written in the privacy of the room and dropped into the post box reaches me quietly; the answer is returned as quietly and nnostenta* tiously, and the patient, without stepping from his chamber, except to post ids letter*, is by return of post put in full possession of the u« euro of his case. His hopes are raised, his doubts removed, and he is comparatively a new man ; in fact, in many cases, a new being altogether. The only addition to the ordinary written letter is the age, occupation, habits and symptoms, nothing more. Ihe usual consultation fee ot id (one pound) must be e.nc used, otherwise no answer will be icturned. There are thousands of cases in daily life where a consultation with one at a distance, will remove by a single letter, a great fear, a great care, and it often solves what appears as an impenetrable mystery. Many a sad heart has been made joyfut on receipt of an explanatory note from me.

To those who are about to marry I would say consult me before doing so, and thus prevent many alter troubles, and remove many unnecessary fears and prejudices ; to those, more especially who have suffered in early years from disease, or who have yielded to their passions. To these I say, at once, consult with me, do not tarry 7 , delays arc dangerous, and as an expert, ray time may not always he at your service, you can, by simply on closing one pound, have the benefit of my experience in the same manner as if 1 lived in your own town, and with the additional advantage of thorough privacy.—Yours, trulv, LOUIS L.
