■ LARBAKINISM AT ALEXANDRA. TO THE EDITOR. Sir— 'What a great pity that our small township should hear such a notorious name for larrakinism. Not only are they content with parading our streets in numbers at night hurling epithets of the most blasphemous kind at passers by and visitors, but have taken to entering our livery stables and cutting the tails of any strange horse that may be in the town, one of our most respectable and prominent hotelkeepers having had the misfortune to get the name ■of his stable greatly injured through the ■cowardly tricks of these ruffians. If this great evil is not put down with a very strong hand, our township will soon enjoy a name that will not be at all palatable for the old and respectable citieens to digest.— lam, etc, ■’ Resident. Alexandra, October 29, 1885.
