Dunedin, October V.30 p.m. Sir J. Vogel ve-* barqu-tted at Chvistchu yesterday Mr P- Pulton addressed the Tait-ri electors last evening. A* Land Board yesterday Mr Maitland made complimentary remarks to Mr Connell, who leaves Dunedin shortly to take charge of branch at Auckland.
Applications were made by several rnnholders to either surrender leases or have rent reduced con-.qnent on decline in wool. The Board had no pewer to consent to this.

The N.Z. Refrigerating Company will probably start an agency in London for sale of frozen meat.
John Anderson was thrown from dray near Lee Stream on Tuesday, and the dray passed over him and killed him.
