Council for Wednesday, 23rd September te— Cr Tobin to move—That a sain of money be voted to repair bridle‘track from the Roaring Meg to O irdrona. Cr Tobin to move; "That' a sum not exceeding L3O be expended in repairing road between Cromwell and Five Mile Creek, Wanaka Road, at Towan’s paddock and north of Lowburn.
Cr Tobin to move t That a surfaceman be pnt on Wanaka road. Cr Anderson to move; That the Vincent County Council is of opinion that owing to the depressed state of the gold mining industry, the immediate and absolute abolition of the gold duty is necessary; the Chairman to intimate the Government ac« oordingly. Cr Anderson to move; That a Forest Tree Nursery bo established in Vincent County.' ~Cr Anderson to move; That the road from Cooperative store, Bannockburn, to Piyda’a be formed at a cost not exceeding LID.
: Or Anderson to; move; That the Engineer examine and report pn the cost of extension of Bannockburn school bridge. Cr. Fraser to move; That the Council proceed at once to allocate such sums as shall be at its disposal for the construction of all largo works the Council may deem it advisable to undertake during the remainder of this financial year. Or. Fraser to move: That the sum of L9O he expended in repairing and forming the r ad from Manorburn Stream to Little Valley. Cr. Pitches to move ; That the Engineer be instructed to prepare plans and specifications for forming the worst parts of mam road in Ida Valley through Blocks 111. and IX., and that tenders for same be called for at the next meeting of Council, the cost not to exceed L2OO.
Cr M’Carthy to move : That the Engineer be instructed to form about 17 chains of road from the landing place at the Havre a L-iketoj-.in the main road close to the Hawea B i Ige. Cr. M‘Garthy to move : That a footbridge be erected at the upner gorge of the Liudia River at a cost not to exceed L 75. Cr M'Carthy to move : That a sum not to excee L 25 be voted towards forming a bridle track a the hea i of Lake Hawea.
