DUNSTAN DISTRICT HOSPITAL.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the Committee of Management was held in the Committee room. Town Hall, on Monday evening, the 3rd inst. Present : Messrs B. Naylor, President; J. S. Hickson, Vice-president. Attheld, Cambridge, Holt, J. E. Stevens, Treasurer ; and G. Fache, Secretary.
The minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed.
Correspondence inward and outward was read and received.
The Visiting Committee reported that everything was working most satisfactory in the hospital. Report No. 2 recommending payment of accounts for salaries and supplies for the past month amounting to L 52 5s sd, was read and received.
The Treasurer’s report showing a debit balance of L4B Is 3d. being an increase of debt by some L 8 since last meeting, was read and received.
The Surgeon’s report was read and received.
Mr J. XL Cambridge was re-elected member of the Visiting Committee.
In discussing ways and means the question of payment of dues by patients was fully discussed, eventuating in a resolution that every effort must be made by Visiting Committee and resident surgeon alike to collect the dues, and that it he an order to the Visiting Committee to see that in future the patients’ register is.regularly posted up, and that it be laid on tho table at each meeting. The meeting then closed.
