(Prom onr own Correspondent), Dunedin, May 28 7.46 p.m. At yesterday’s Land Board Mr McKenzie proposed that the Board hold inquiry as to whether the acquirements of Land Act have been evaded through the purchase by Mr A.O.Begg for Mr'Docherty in 1883 of the Benmoro rani The question raised wap whether Mr Dooharty was not really a dummy for the Hon. Robert Campbell, the latter having already his full complement of land. The matter was adjourned for a week and the Board’s Solicitor to be consulted as the ran was part of Otago University eadowment.

(Received May 28, at noon). The boundary of tha English protectorate in New Guinea which was agreed upon by England and Germany, has been cabled to the Australian Governments. The Admiralty will supply the Governments of New Zealand and New South Wales with ten torpedoes each of German manufacture immediately, and will also eupply Adelaide, Victoria, and Tasmania with Whitehead torpedoes.
