The intermediate drive on the footwall reef has been extended we=t a further dis ance of Bft. making a total distance of 20ft from crosscut. Th s reef has a very promising appearance; it has increase 1 in wiith. and prospects a little better size of reef Ift 6m wide, estimated io yield 9 1 ws. to the ton. I commenced to sink oo M’Retina s reef, and have sunk to the dvpih of 6ft. I had to discontinue sinking this shaft Ihrouah hiving a be vy fall of snow. This reef is running piralhd with White’s leef, and about ].sof- north, with a northern underlay of af in 6ft. The reef i.i the bottom of the shaft is ooking well, showing gool very plainly in the stone, and prospects well with loose gold.
