ANY person may appoint the Public Trustee executor and trustee under his will or codicil. • Auy present trustee may transfer the management of the trust property to the Public Trustee, who will thereupon hold such property upon the original trusts attaching thereto. Auy person',' company, association, or public body within or without the colony, may place any property belonging to them in charge of the Public Trustee upon trust for such uses as may be defined in the deed creating the trust. Any building, land, or friendly society may, by its rules, provide thac property belongin’' to it may lie placed in the Public Trust Office, for such trusts and uses and with such powers as may be defined in or by the said rules. ■ The advantages offered are : Ist. State Guarantee against peculation, fraud, or dishonesty. All proposed investments are considered hy a board, consisting of the Honorable Colonial Treasurer, the Attorney General, the Comptroller and Auditor General, the Government Insurance Commissioner, and the Public Trus'ce. Careful consideration of all securities offered is therefore ensured. 3. The Public Trustee, in his corporate capacity, NEVER DIES, NEVER LEAVES THE COUNTRY, AND NEVER BECOMES INCAPACIATED, thus avoiding the many incon veniencss resulting from frequent fresh appointments of Trustees, necessitated by death, change of abode, or mental or bodily iufirmitv. Punctuality and promptitude in the ' remittance of perio ical payments to beneficiaries under trust or will to any part of the co’dny or elsewhere at which it may be desired that payments should be male. 5. Reasonable charges: On estates such as are now being considered the Pn lie Trustee is authorised to charge 1J per cent, on all receipts, ami 1J per cent, on disbursements, and 5s per cent, on all moneys invested. No charge i? made for obtaining probate, nor for passing stonp and property tax returns, nor for correspondence however voluminous. Thus the •aviug to estates placed in this office is considerable.
