Mr F. J- Wilson, solicitor, Clvde, has placed at our disposal the following letter received by him from Mr Summon, denting the authorship of the letter which appeared in our last issue, bearing the initials of Tinkers, December 19th 1883. Mr Wilson, Dear Si —I was surprised to-day to see a letter in, the Ddnstan Times with my initials signed to it respecting you and the late Gilbert Sinc'air. Alt I can say in the matter is I can swea- that I never orhear’ anything about the matter unfil ,1 saw it in the paper. Trusting v° u will not blame me for a crime L never committed, lam etc., Michael Sammok. .
