The Promoters of the MT.C. detire to thank their patrons for the liberal support accorded them on the Melbourne Cup Sweep just closed, and would take this opportunity of informing them that were it •Mot for the libelous articles and untruthful reports circulated respecting the bona fide of the M.T.C., the Mammoth Sweep on'tie Melbourne Cup would certainly have been '-filled on the date that drawing took place. In reference to the Book-making Clause in our previous prospectus, we wish it to lie known that according lo the New System a sum of not less than L3OOO would be necessary for investment, in order to work the Book successfully. It will therefore be seen that we are not to blame for being unable to cany out our programme to the letter.
