Mr J, C. Jones Wat voted to the chair, when offer discussion, it was unanimously', decided to un : te the Blacks and Mat.kinui Race Commlitees and forma District Jockey Club; to Be “ The Vincent Jockey Club,” with a membership fee of one guinea. Abouttwenty gentlemen at ooce . enrolled themsolvss, and Commit. e<a Were appointed to canvass the surrounding districts for more members; at the same time to select, if possible,, a central site for a racecourse. It was also decided to held a general meeting of members at Mellor's New Town Hotel, vp Tinkers, on Friday; thedJSth, for the purpose of organising the club, and the election of offidefs of thi new club.
