VINCENT COUNTY COUNCIL.
The following is the order paper for the next meeting of the Council, to be held on Wednesday, the 26th inst. : 1. Cr. Stronach to move—“ That the sura of Forty Pounds sterling be voted for repairing the road from Tinkers Main Road to Upper Drybread ” 2. Cr. PiTCttES to move 'That the hours of sitting to wit ; if the Council meet at Twelve o’clock, atone the Chairman, without m >tio i, “dedaies the Council adj urned until half past two o’clock. 2nd. And again at the hour of six he declares the Council adjoUrti'd until half-past Seven. 3rd. At eleven o’clock that no fresh business be taken into consideration without the consent of the ■whole of the Council ” 3 Cr. P.TCHi’.s to move — “ That the honorarium of the t hdrman for the current year be fixe tat the rate of £l-50 per annum.” 4. Cr. Macginnls to move—“ That the office of Hon. Trea urer to the Council expires on the fourth Wednesday in November in each year. 5. Cr. MacSinnis to move—“ t hat ull monies expended on mads and works in the Engineer’s department be paid direct to parties receiving the same by that officer, whose duty A shall be to visit the loads and works in the county at least monthly to make such payments.” 6. Cr StroxAgh to move—“ That r subsidy of pound for pound be paid out of the County funds to the Tinke.’s Sludge Channel for the enduing 12 months, the amount of said subsidy not to exceed LIOO, and the payment to be made, from time to time, on the certificate of the County Engineer that an equivalent sum has been expended by the miners interested in the maintenance and repairs to the said Sludge Channel.” 7. Cr Fraser to move-=-“ That ihe Council take into consideration the County Engineer’s report re providing a Water Supply for Clyde, and proceed to adopt the measures neces-ary to give effect thereto.” 8. Cr Fraser to move--“That the sum of LSO he expended in repairing and forming the track from Manuhelikia Bridge to Manorburu crossing 9. Cr. Stronach to move—“ That this Council take into Co sideration the best means of dealing with tenders to prevent dnmmyism.
