Although the works at Mullocky Gully have been open to the unemployed for a fortnight, only 35 have sought work ; and none of those who took a prominent part in the late agitations. The walking match between Scott and Edwards has been satisfactorily arranged to come off in Dunedin in five weeks. The Otago Harbour Board Bill has been thrown out, A Dummyism Bill was introduced into the House yesterday, and passed through ail stages. It gives the Land Boards very wide powers to deal with all who may have evaded the Act relating to lands. A measure for the reconstruction of Upper House has been prepared, and is to be debated next session. The Gore-Kelso Railway Bill has also been slaughtered. ■,' t ■ : Members are all leaving Wellington and it is expected the session will close to-night.
