ANY person may appoint the Public Trustee executor and trustee under his will or codicil. .V ! ■ Any present trustee may transfer the management of the crust property to the Public Trustee, who will thereupon hold such property upon the original trusts attaching thereto. Any person, company, association, or public body within or without the colony, may place any property belonging to them in charge of the Public Trustee upon trust for such uses as may he defined in the deed creating the trust. Any building, land, or friendly society may, hy its rules, provide that property belonging to U may be placed m the Public Trust Office, for such trusts and uses and with such powers •as may be defined in or by the said rules The advantages offered are:— Ist. State Guarantee against peculation, fraud, or dishonesty. 2nd. All proposed investments are considered by a board, consisting of the Honorable Colonial Treasurer, the Attorney General, the Comptroller ar.d Auditor Generel, the Government Insurance Commissioner, and the Public Trustee. Careful consideration of all securities offered is therefore ensured. 3rd. The Public Trustee, in his cor porate capacity, never dies, never LEAVES THE COUNTRY, and NEVER BECOMES incapacitated, thus avoiding the many inconveniences resulting from frequent fresh appointments of i’rusiccs, necessitated by death, change of abode, or mental or bodily infirmity, 4th. Keasonable charges: On estates such as are now being considered the Public Trustee is authorised to charge 14 pei cent, on all receipts, and 11 per cent on disbursements, and 5s per cent, on all moneys invested No charge is made for obtaining probate, nor for passing stamp and property tax returns, nor Ur correspondence how ever voluminous. Thus the saving to estates placed iu this office is consider able. R. C.
