MR CAMPBELL IN REPLY.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir. —l see in your issue of the 30th June that a person signing himself “ Veritas” attacks me as a ratepayer, for showing up Mr Pyke’a misdeeds in the Vincent Council. Does he, (Mr Veritas) think for one m unent that I, as a ratepiyer in Vincen , should stand by and see mat tors concerning the County going from ha i to worse everyday without raising some objection. “ Veritas” must think we are ad very simple to have stood it so long, and so quietly. I would he obliged if “Veritas” would give me his name the next time he writes, as 1. do not approve of stabs in the dark. It savors too much of the policy that has of late years been pursued by parties in Ireland.—l remain yours truly, Henry Campbell.
